Hola, chickas.
I'm SO sorry for the lack of posts, I've been so swamped.
I keep sitting down to do one, and then something comes up, then time flys and I have to go to bed.
No promises of anything new for a while, but keep fingers crossed.
Enjoy!
one.
Truth be told, I'm a sucker for a happy ending.
two.
No, I'm not okay.
No, I'm not telling you why.
three.
Where were you when I needed you most?
four.
She's got her heart set on Hollywood, and she'll do anything to get there.
five.
It's that look you see in the hallways that lets you know love is alive and thriving.
six.
She loves him, you know.
He doesn't know it,
But she's waiting for the day he says
"Baby, let's run away."
seven.
It's awkward, but what isn't?
It's imperfect, but that's beauty.
eight.
It's a quarter after one, I'm all alone, and I need you now.
And I said I wouldn't call, but I'm a little drunk, and I need you now.
- Need You Now; Lady Antebellum
nine.
It's not finding the inspiration that's the problem,
It's putting into words actions that speak volumes.
ten.
Yes, you matter to her.
No, you're not worth her tears.
eleven.
And slowly I'm realizing that I need to count on myself, and not on someone else.
twelve.
I love monsters.
I love cupcakes.
I love your smile.
I love my hoodie.
I love thunder.
I love rain.
I love snowstorms.
I love mittens.
I love sunshine.
I love aliens.
I love hot dogs.
Mostly, I love you.
thirteen.
You, well, you make me smile.
fourteen.
She says she hates fakes, but she's the biggest actor of them all.
fifteen.
This town's seen too much tragedy, too many deaths too young.
Her world's seen too much tragedy, too many friends too many times.
sixteen.
"When I look at the moon without my glasses on,
it looks like a heart. And when I squint and unsquint
my eyes, it looks like it's beating."
-elevator;
seventeen.
I close my eyes and pray to God I'm the girl you're talking about.
eighteen.
I'm not looking for a romance that lasts forever.
Really, I'm looking for something that takes the tinge of pain from being alone away.
nineteen.
I'm sure it sounds absurd, but I hope I'm the one
you're talking about, and I hope I'm making her jealous.
twenty.
I poured my heart out to you, in hopes that you'd respond.
You got me all excited with hello, and now all hope is gone.
Maybe I should wait, but, realistically, I'm holding on too long.
twenty-one.
We'll get married, you promised.
twenty-two.
And, baby, I'm saving all my good stories for you.
twenty-three.
It's funny how people you don't even know can let you down.
twenty-four.
And, if you looked closely enough, you'd see her meaning hidden among her rambles.
And, if you believed hard enough, you'd see the beauty in her insanity.
twenty-five.
Like a cat who swims, you, boy, you confuse me.
twenty-six.
Maybe she's got high standards,
Maybe she's just crazy,
But she believes in romance,
Not a quick lay and then back to the grind.
twenty-seven.
Even when we're miles apart, I hear your voice, and it gives me courage.
twenty-eight.
Suddenly, for some reason, something takes his breath away.
He says he can't pinpoint what it is, but she's pretty sure she knows.
twenty-nine.
She's not perfect, you know.
Inside, she's broken, and shattered, and in ruins.
Inside, she's so full of hate, she doesn't feel.
If you get to know her, she might just tell you the truth.
thirty.
Behind his every "I don't care," is an explanation too big for words.
thirty-one.
As the water runs clear, and the room begins to fill with steam, she finally feels at peace.
thirty-two.
It doesn't matter how, it matters that it happens.
A life taken by itself, at an age too young for death.
thirty-three.
No one saw this coming, this love we've got going.
I don't know where we're headed to,
I just know that I'm with you.
thirty-four.
Wrap your arms around me and don't let go.
I don't care if I can't breathe tonight.
thirty-five.
So go ahead and keep talking trash,
I don't care about you and all your crap.
thirty-six.
They say they're old for their age.
She says she loves him, but they're not on the same page.
He's looking for romance, she's looking for love.
He says that he'll try, she says it's not enough.
thirty-seven.
No, it's not alright.
He's just a foolish boy, waiting for a stupid little girl.
Grow-up, or tell him the truth, because he's got feelings, too.
He's breakingdown, you're picking him up.
He wants your attention, you're not giving him enough.
thirty-eight.
I don't know if you know it, but I don't know how much longer I can wait for you to be ready.
thirty-nine.
Laugh until your stomach hurts.
And I don't mean some little laugh.
I mean a gut-ripping, pee-your-pants, wake-up-the-baby kind of laugh.
The kind that leaves you gasping for air,
and giggling at the thought of falling off your chair.
Trust me, it'll help.
forty.
Love him. Get mad, and let him know, but don't go to bed angry. Not talking doesn't solve anything. Work it out, because, you've gotta live your life. Don't second guess your judgement. Don't regret. Never, and I mean never, let someone pressure you into something you're not comfortable with. Do your speech. Stand-up when everyone else is sitting down. Question the answers you recieve. Give the answers you know are true. On a multiple choice question, give it your best shot, there's at least one correct answer you're staring at. Things are rarely as they seem, so try not to make life more complicated. Dance when you feel like it. Sing when you know the words, make them up when you don't. Reach for his hand, you never know what might happen. You never learn the answer to questions you never ask. Prioritize. Try to refrain from lying. Take a day all to yourself. Disappear for a while when it's becoming too much. Never give-up, but don't hold onto something that's hurting you. Nothing is for certain, so make your point fast. Dancing around the elephant in the room doesn't hide it, but makes it all that more apparent. Get things off your chest. Try not to put a project off to the last minute, but don't worry if you don't start the first night. Stay as young as you can for as long as you can, but know when it's time to grow-up. Trick-or-treating in high school is tacky. It will always be tacky. Don't do it, period. Go on the swings and have a good time. Lots of people experiment, but just as many don't. Set a plan and stick to it, but don't be afraid to change it as you go. Love with your whole heart, laugh with your whole body, scream with your whole might, and never, ever forget that there's someone out there thinking of your smile.
There it is.
Hope you like it.
